Great point on giving freely. There’s a chapter on the reciprocation principle in “Influence Psychology” by Cialdini. He points out that when vendors give free demos of products, they tend to get a lot more customers than they otherwise would get. I’m incorporating that into my own business by giving away free versions of my work that are downgraded to low res in order to encourage people to buy high res .mp3’s. 🙂 #marketing
