We’ve all grown up hearing the stories of the Bible—from the creation account, to David and Goliath, to Noah’s Ark. Often, we think of the heroic or awe-inspiring acts these stories depict. We may even recall colorful children’s storybooks that highlight their main themes.

But when was the last time we went deeper?

The truth is, many of these stories require us to dig into their background in order to uncover their full meaning and apply their lessons to our own lives.
